Limits on the information about crawl space moisture, ground vapour and sealed-crawl practice published by Chattanooga Crawl Space Co.

General information only

Everything here is general information about crawl space moisture, ground vapour and sealed-crawl practice in and around Chattanooga. It is not an inspection report, an engineering opinion, or advice about a specific property.

Where the figures come from

Climate, soil and code figures on this site are drawn from U.S. Census ACS 2020-2024 via Census Reporter; NOAA 1991-2020 climate normals and GHCN-Daily records for Chattanooga Lovell Field; NWS Morristown flood history pages; the EPA Map of Radon Zones for Tennessee; the City of Chattanooga Land Development Office adopted-codes page; the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors; National Park Service and USGS Valley and Ridge geology pages. Sources are cited so they can be checked rather than taken on trust. Code editions change and adopting jurisdictions amend provisions, so anything decisive should be confirmed with the authority that will inspect the work.

Health

Nothing on this site is medical advice. Individual responses to damp and mould exposure differ substantially, and questions about symptoms or diagnosis belong with a physician rather than with a remediation contractor.

Cost figures

Ranges reference regional contractor pricing and are illustrative rather than quotations. What a particular job costs depends on access, condition and scope, none of which can be known from a web page.

Licensing

Verify any contractor, including this one, on Tennessee's own licensing register rather than relying on a number printed on a website or a vehicle.

No guarantee of outcome

Work addresses the conditions found at the time — sealing controls the moisture sources found during the inspection; a plumbing leak or new storm-water path is a separate problem. Warranty terms, where offered, appear in the written scope and are the only commitments that apply.
